Hakeem Martin and small village is back with their latest single “SELFISH”

“I'm a hero in their eyes and villain in my own, stuck in a glass house juggling with stones”

Hakeem Martin, the artist based in Lund, paints his reality and invites the listener into an introspective journey through his thoughts and experiences growing up in Lund. Elias Hellgren, also known as Small Village, a versatile music producer and instrumentalist from Skorped, boasts an extensive collaborative catalog with artists such as Erk, Dorothea, and William Singe. It's a masterful intertwining of music and multifaceted talent.

Immersed in the role of "people pleasers," Hakeem and Elias delve into their own challenges in the song "Selfish." Through raw electric guitar and creative drum rhythms, they provide an artistic voice to the struggle with self-love and self-respect, transcending accusations of selfishness. "Selfish" isn't just a song; it's a musical manifestation of the courage to be true to oneself and a call to set boundaries. Created by Hakeem Martin and Elias Hellgrenn, it artistically explores the human experience and self-discovery, even when others may label you as a "stupid dummy" or selfish.

"Selfish" is the second single released ahead of Hakeem Martin and Small Village's upcoming collaborative album.
